Today is indonesian mothers day! And as it has always been, on this particular day all mums become bosses (well my mum is a boss regardless the day) haha.
I dedicate this post to my one and only mum, as i grow up i realize just how similar i am to her. My mum might not be well-informed about the whole political news or whats been happening outside indonesia, but she will always be the first person i search for answers on world’s most difficult problems (believe me those are not related to politics). She might not be that mother who takes care of numbers of orphans,but she takes an excellent care of me, my brother, my dad, and my dogs.. Which is difficult beyond any measure. Haha
My mum has shaped me in a way and as a result i become who i am today. She is loud, a bit ocd, and perfectionist; but she is also a hardworker, warm at heart, and generous.
One of the most valuable lessons mum has successfuly taught me is to pray, i bet she’s one of papa Jesus most frequent prayer haha. Prayers has helped me get through the hardest events, has helped me to be thankful, and help me to stay grounded (and help me to still become a christian within unpar’s agnostic environment HAHA). Eventhough my mum is a hardcore christian, she doesnt judge people from their religion. Shes THAT awesome :)
And so as a conclusion, allow me to say Happy mothers’ day to my awesome and loud mother, ibu marlyn sutika. You are the epitome of unconditional love… Thanks for bearing with me, dad, brother, and dogs at our most undeserving moments. We love you.
